Sounds Between Collab: URVASHI @ the Post Bar

SoundsBetween are back at the Post Bar to share another one of our favourite electrifying groups, bringing an unforgettable night of dancing, and incredible, emerging music. On the 19th of July, we bring you URVASHI, a group making waves in London's jazz-dance scene. Once again, we bring tunes to dance until the early hours with the Post Bars stellar lineup of Djs bringing rhythms and beats from across the globe. Start the night early with afterwork dinner and drinks, before our headliner joins the stage, and finish the night with our in-house DJs guaranteed to keep the party going until 3 am. Line up:

Urvashi is a new London-based collective, formed in January 2023. Inspired by the band's shared love for traditional and modern music, they draw equally from Indian Qawwali, Arabic Tarab, modal jazz, hard rock and drum and bass. Their tracks layer both original melodies and fresh interpretations of traditional songs, over grooves reimagined from different musical backgrounds, combined with extensive improvisation.

They have played across London and the UK including headlining the Jazz in the Round stage at the EFG London Jazz Festival 2023, Jazz Live at The Crypt, Good Evening Arts, The Jazz Sanctuary and The Carlton Club Manchester Handles: _annachai
