Synopsis After rediscovering Argentine documentary film, which had been cruelly persecuted and concealed by the Argentine dictatorship, filmmakers from very different political and social backgrounds launched a collective aesthetic and counter-information movement that accompanied the struggles against the Menem-De la Rua neoliberal project until its outbreak on December 19th and 20th, 2001.
As a result, a revival of Argentine documentary film was generated. Unfortunately, today, almost closing the circle, this group is being persecuted by president Javier Milei¨s extreme right-wing government.
