Real Roots and The Post Bar join efforts to bring as special night of Roots, Rock, Reggae and Bass Culture on the 1st day of December, 2023. 

Expect energetic live music and MC performances + Real Roots selectors playing the best of Roots, Reggae, Ska, Steppas and more!

LINE UP:

• Planetman: A  founding member of iconic London venue Passing Clouds, Planetman’s monthly Little Blue Ball parties spanned over a decade, and have become legendary for their eclectic mix of both music and people, and  consistently sky-high vibes. Seven years running the Sunday Night Jam  Sessions at the venue established him as a key figure in the London  music scene and led to further work as a promoter of World Music.  

Planetman’s skill as a  guitarist and authentic, larger than life personality have landed him  gigs backing reggae heroes, Dawn Penn, Winston Reedy and Winston Groovy.  He has taken his inspiriting message of unity through music across the  globe, from Budapest to Ko Pha Ngan, and was invited to Tanzania by the  family of Remi Ongala to play at a memorial show in the star’s honour.

• Donovan  Kingjay is one of the finest vocalists in the scene! He has worked with  many producers over the years including Dougie Conscious & Fat Frog  as well as Keety Roots and Ashanti Selah to name a few. Donovan always  delivers a quality performance not to be missed!

• Diletta  is one of the best new singers around! Having been a fan of the music  for years, she has recently stepped up to the mic and has not  disappointed! Expect sweet vocals with some deep and powerful lyrics!

• Dougie  Conscious has been making and releasing music on his label ‘Conscious  Sounds’ since 1989 and has worked with many great artists over the  years. His music has been played by many sound systems all over the  world including Aba Shanti I & and the late great Jah Shaka! No  slackness, no gimmicks, no killing sound boys! Just music with a  conscious message!

• Fat  Frog is the head-honcho of North London based record label PurpleFade  Records, and a member of Real Roots. Since 2016 he has been producing,  selecting, and releasing roots, reggae music. He has collaborated with  some of the best vocalists in the scene including Earl 16, Donovan  Kingjay and Natty Campbell to name a few.
