New Car Smell - brass meets punk. Inspired by 3- piece brass house groups like Too Many Zoos and Moon Hooch; New Car Smell bring dance music to the masses using the power of their lungs.

Born out of necessity; NEW CAR SMELL caters to the needs of people who like to do things differently.

By manifesting the simple notion of taking our instruments into styles they're rarely associated with; we advocate the reality that what you have never represents what you are. Tuba isn’t just classical, sax isn’t just jazz, beats aren’t just programmed.

Witnessed from underground/alternative venues in London and Bristol (Hootananny, The Jago, Mr Wolf's, Rich Mix etc) to large festivals such as Boardmasters, Boomtown and Camp Bestival; our band takes canons of dance and groove music to a free flowing, organic and (literally) breathing place. Every second of every performance is unique and transient as our acoustic instruments forbid the possibility of mundane consistency. We obligate the support of artists who take risks on stage and dare to make music the "live" experience it once had to be.

Previously described as "a punk trio disguised as a brass band", we want to amplify our message to all who believe in change, tearing down the status quo and with it, the essentialist propaganda we consume every day.
