New Car Smell - brass meets punk. Inspired by 3- piece brass house groups like Too Many Zoos and Moon Hooch; New Car Smell bring dance music to the masses using the power of their lungs.
Born out of necessity; NEW CAR SMELL caters to the needs of people who like to do things differently.
By manifesting the simple notion of taking our instruments into styles they're rarely associated with; we advocate the reality that what you have never represents what you are. Tuba isn’t just classical, sax isn’t just jazz, beats aren’t just programmed.
Witnessed from underground/alternative venues in London and Bristol (Hootananny, The Jago, Mr Wolf's, Rich Mix etc) to large festivals such as Boardmasters, Boomtown and Camp Bestival; our band takes canons of dance and groove music to a free flowing, organic and (literally) breathing place.
