Introduction to Capoeira Workshop + Capoeira Angola Roda

Welcome to our Free Introduction to Capoeira at 3pm, followed by Open Roda da Capoeira, our regular Capoeira event at The Post Bar.

From the organisers: ”When in 2006, we started a roda in a neutral space that could  benefit the capoeira community, we never knew it would catch on!  Now we one of London's 4 rodas where a neutral space is used and everyone is welcome, which helps create the right tension for a good Capoeira game to happen"

"Open  rodas must have many capoeiristas from different levels, plus guests  from friendly and rival schools. This combination will create the  natural tension needed for the development of strong and lively jogos.  The formalities of a regular class should be avoided and despite the  adherence to tradition and ritual, open rodas must allow spontaneity,  creativity and the free spirit of capoeiristas.”
