Presents a distinctive twist on folkloric Colombian music. His innovative mixture of ancestral drums and organic contemporary sounds represents a forward-facing musical identity with a trance-inducing soundscape. His debut album INELEMENTUM channels Colombia’s African heritage via Bullerengue, Cumbia and Tambora rhythms, with a thought-provoking modern-day awareness.

His AfroColombiaBeat production stamp has been embraced by audiences across the UK, at venues including Rich Mix, Wilderness Festival, Hootananny, Juju’s Bar, Arts By The Sea Festival, Lola MC and met with critical acclaim by tastemakers Gilles Peterson and Alex Wharton.

Stephanie Santiago:

British-Colombian singer songwriter blending soul, jazz and hip hop with her Colombian roots, experimenting and refining her inherent talent for songwriting and an ability to inhabit songs with her voice.

The Alma Carnavalera EP is the first in a series of releases from Stephanie Santiago that will see her explore her Colombian heritage, revealing a new sound informed by life in London and Latin American lineage. Home has always been in Stephanie’s heart, now we get to hear it.
