About Celestina Banjo

Celestina  is a multi-talented individual with a passion for modeling,  professional dancing, and spoken word artistry. Her journey is nothing  short of remarkable. From captivating audiences as a champion disco dancer at the age of five to earning accolades such as the prestigious  Dada Award at 16 to train at the renowned Urdang.

Before even graduating,  Celestina landed the role of Hen 1 in the beloved movie "Mamma Mia,"  marking the beginning of her illustrious career in entertainment. With a  diverse range of professional credits spanning TV, film, and stage,  Celestina has performed alongside esteemed artists such as Leona Lewis,  Mikel Ameen, Tinchy Stryder and Taio Cruz, showcasing her talents and  contributing to their projects. Her dynamic presence and diverse skills  continue to captivate audiences across various genres and platforms.

Celestina's modeling career highlights include collaborations with  brands like I Saw It First and Soboye. Celestina's love for style and  fashion has always complemented her artistry and storytelling. It is the  reason she has cultivated Banjo Wearz a style line that embodies her  unique aesthetic and creative vision, enriching her work as a performer  and entrepreneur.

Deeply committed to sharing the transformative power  of dance, spoken word, and music with children and young people,  Celestina has dedicated over 17 years of her career to this mission. In  addition to her artistic endeavors, she has made significant strides as  an entrepreneur, playing a key role in establishing two successful  businesses from the ground up. One of these ventures includes Soul 2  Dance, a vibrant dance school where Celestina fostered a supportive and  enriching environment for aspiring young dancers, empowering countless  students to discover their potential and pursue their dreams in the  world of dance. Celestina's dedication to empowering women and girls  extends beyond her artistic endeavors.

As a program manager for a  charity program, she led the first successful initiative within the  organization focused on women and girls aged 16 to 24 who had never  received formal training in dance and singing. This pioneering program  provided a transformative experience, empowering participants to embrace  the art of dance and the joy of singing, cultivating their  self-confidence and creativity. Furthermore, Celestina is the founder of  Smile like a baby, a lifestyle brand that embodies the essence of the  human experience. "It's more than just a brand; it's a reflection of the  joy, authenticity, and well-being that we strive for in every aspect of  our lives. Infused with the spirit of motherhood and the bond between  parent and child, Smile like a baby informs my work as a teacher,  artist, educator, and practitioner, enriching every offering with its  core values of creativity, authenticity, and holistic well-being".
