Candelita! A Halloween Special

Candelita is back and we’re taking over the Post Bar in Seven Sisters London for a Saturday Night Halloween Take over done our way.

Be prepared to dance the night away with a freakishly amazing line up of live music and DJ sets that will haunt your minds, bodies and souls..!

THE BONITA HOUSE BAND will be headlining with a deliciously spooky Latin set, and we have the incredible LOS MARIACHI BRO’S joining us as our LIVE guests.

Our guest DJ on the night is the biggest n baddest selector DELACRUZ. 🇲🇽

Fusing Latin American folklore and halloween tradition, we will be holding a tribute for the dead- a la memoria del muerto 💐 so please do bring photos & ofrendas if you would like to join us in remembering and celebrating those we’ve lost but never forgotten. 🌹💖

Tequila shots for all those who follow the dress code...

DRESS CODE: We’ll be inviting everyone to come dressed as icons from the past and present, dressed for BRUJERIA, dressed ready to release your inner diablx. (Anything Halloweeny tbf, we just want to see you look fabulous!)

All those who do will have the chance to win a very special prize.

London based Mexican DJ DELACRUZ waves the Salsa flag with pride but weaves eloquently through a Cumbia bangers, Son, Afro Latin, Brazilian Baile Funk, Soul, Jazz. A mover el esqueleto!

& of course all the Candelita resident DJs will be on duty.

BUSHBBY has quickly established herself as one of London’s Latin music scene torchbearers. Expect infused sets with a blend of Dancehall, Reaggeton, Cumbia Champeta and Dembow inspired by the Colombian/Carribean and London sound systems she grew up listening to.

ALMA DE LA SELVA aka Bonita’s head honcho, selector, percussionist, and producer curates his sets with precise engineering. Expect a set that will leave you feeling like you’ve had a fine dinning experience from phycodelic Cumbia to Latin Jazz, to all the sounds you didn’t know you loved yet..

DON DESTA aka Bonita’s Mother will be taking no prisoners on the decks with a stream of floor smoking Salsa brava and Cumbias from the archives that make it impossible for you to be still for too long. Expect the floor to rise~ Dancing shoes are non negotiable.
