An Evening with Las Witchas!

The Post is delighted to welcome back our local LatinAmerican-migrant-women-collective: Las Witchas! (@laswitchas.collective). They fuse #Bullerengue, Afro-Latin rhythms,  sung poetry and dance. Las Witchas! has performed their music and delivered art-based and self-expression workshops for communities in all around London.

Las Witchas! supergroup is made up of:

Stephanie Santiago (@iamstephaniesantiago)

Born in South London to Colombian musician parents; #Cumbia and #Salsa music were the soundtrack of Stephanie’s childhood. Nurtured by London’s multifarious subcultures and graced by her songwriting talent and powerful voice, she has been developing a sound which forays in Soul, Jazz and Latin Rhythms.

La Mendoza (@lamendoza.mel), Cuban singer blending her own musical heritage with a variety of other genres originating from the tropical latitudes.

Ana Maria (@belenlamorisse), Multidisciplinary artist, interpreting her own poetry together with traditional songs from Latin America. She'll also delight us with a DJ set, under the Alias ‘Alfonsina Stormix’.

Valeria Pacific(@val.pacific), one of the most recognisable faces of the #Bullerengue movement, gracing venues and festival stages all over the UK and Europe. Also performing a DJ set on the night.

Lesly (@lesly.avenda0), Contemporary dancer conveying emotions and telling stories through body movement.
